A Conversation with Joe Lando |
|
A: I'm the oldest brother of three from a military family We're very competitive Our youngest brother, Jack, died in an
accident, and we have some deep-seated feelings about that which have come to
the surface. Q: How has it been working with Rob Estes, who plays your brother in
the movie? A: Rob and I are having a great time playing brothers We shot a football game at the beginning of
production and that really helped us develop a bond. Q: What's been the biggest challenge for you with this role? A: This movie has a lot of action After shooting the football scene, I went to the hospital to have my jaw
X-rayed because I was afraid I had broken it I usually play more romantic stuff, so this is quite a change of pace. Q: How did you prepare for your role as a Secret Service agent? A: I have an uncle who did this for a living, so I called him up and
asked for a few tips I also watched "In
the Line of Fire," with Clint Eastwood, just to see some of the protocol
they use And I also read the original
novel by Richard Henrick, who gives a lot of detail in the book. Q: What do you think it means to be a Secret Service agent? A: You have to be willing to take a bullet for your country, so it's
quite an honor to be part of the Secret Service. Q: This movie features a woman playing the U.S. President What are your thoughts on that? A: It's not too far off, I don't think Maybe in the next election or two, we'll have a woman in the
White House. Q: What do you think the TBS Superstation audience should expect
from COUNTERSTRIKE? A: They should expect a big, great-looking movie, with a lot of
action. |
