Joe Lando is still filming the role of John Blackwell, father to Cassie, the star Witch, in CW's "The Secret Circle." Joe was
heard but not seen in last week's episode, "Witness."
He said, "I did it many different ways. I don't know what they used. Did it work?"
I told him that it did and he sounded menacing and very mysterious. Joe also said it is all night shooting and it is messing with his schedule.
Joe stated, "I'm very busy. Blackwell works a lot in these episodes, two so far."
Joe will be filming through February 6th. I asked if he thinks
his character will still be around. Joe responded, "YOU CANNOT KILL BLACKWELL.......I hope. I know if the fans like me, yes.
If not, I will at least get a few shows out of it." He also said he loves this part.

Because of the timing of Valentine's Day this year, our favorite shows on The CW will be running their holiday-themed episodes the prior week so the February 16th and 17th eps of "The Vampire Diaries" (#3.15 "All My Children"), "The Secret Circle" (#1.15 "Return"), and "Supernatural" (#7.15 "Repo Man") will all be post-hearts and flowers….

CASSIE'S PAST COMES BACK TO HAUNT HER — Cassie (Britt Robertson) is stunned when a notoriously evil figure from her past shows up on her doorstep (guest star Joe Lando, “Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman”). However, her surprise quickly turns to suspicion when he asks her to return the medallion she found in the wreckage of the fire that killed their parents.
Cassie storms off but is captured by Eben and his band of witch hunters. Jake (Chris Zylka) offers to trade himself for Cassie’s freedom, and when Adam (Thomas Dekker) realizes they’re in trouble, he calls the Circle.
Meanwhile Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) and Diana (Shelley Hennig) are concerned when Melissa starts spending more time with Callum (guest star Michael Graziadei).
Gale Harold and Natasha Henstridge also star. Brad Turner directed the episode written by David Ehrman.

Joe called yesterday to let his fans know that he has a recurring role now in the CW's "The Secret Circle," Joe Lando is set to Play the Evil and Mysterious John Blackwell, father to Cassie, the star Witch. Joe is
still bearded and has been told that all his clothes will have to be flame retardant.
He will be shooting three
episodes at first and believes he initially appears as he did in "The Bay," via a telephone call. Joe is excited about
the part and is looking forward to being a part of the show.

GMC is running a Sully-Thon all day today, starting at 1 p.m. Check the GMC site for the episodes they are airing. You can view them on on GMC CH 338 on Directv, 188 on Dish Network, and on your local cable channel. I've added the promos they are running for the Sully-Thon on the "Joe Lando Visits GMC" page.
Dr. Quinn is also airing on INSP Network beginning next week, 8/29, with a nine hour marathon. I then believe they are airing 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, although they have not contacted me yet
with any info. When they do, I will list it here.

The Landos are on their summer vacation. They left shortly after running in their annual July 4th race. Joe and Jack ran the 10k. Jack did it in under an hour and Joe said he did
it in a little over an hour. Kirsten and Christian ran the 5k.

Today is Jack Lando's 13th birthday. The Joe Lando Web Page joins with Joe's fans from all over the world in wishing Jack a very happy birthday. He is having a bowling party with all his 13 year old friends and I'm sure he and his folks are having a grand time! You can wish Jack a happy birthday at "Lando Greetings."
Joe told me to mention he is working on a short film called "End of the Innocents," being written, directed, and co-produced by Deborah Chesher. He will be playing a Congresman. If you want to pledge money to help make the film Joe is working on, you can go to this "Kickstarter" page. There you can see what the movie is about and what you can receive for the different amounts you pledge, like backstage passes, walk-on roles, a signed script, and much more. Joe also mentioned today that Deborah filmed him talking about the project and it will be up on the Kickstarter page shortly.
There is more news from Joe today. He will be taking part in a 6-mile Mud Run, at Camp Pendleton on June 11th, and he promised me pictures. He will also be doing his annual run on the 4th of July. Usually he does 5K but he said this year he will be attempting the 10K and he promised me pictures from that day as well.
In August, Joe will be filming more scenes for "The Bay."

Jane did the" Today Show" today, She is doing "The Talk" on CBS tomorrow. She is doing a few other shows as well. There are several more videos of Jane and Joe on the "HelloJaneSeymour" section of YouTube. Several interviews of Jane's are showing up as well but I haven't seen any reviews of the movie yet or any more interviews with Joe.

Busy week for Joe and Jane, promoting Perfectly Prudence. Jane will be doing several talk shows in NY and elsewhere, as well as radio interviews. Joe and Jane both have given follow-up interviews to Maria Pilar Clark, at Chicago Parent and we should be seeing those any day. Pilar has promised me a copy to post in Joe's Article section. Joe also told me he has an event with Hallmark Friday Night to actually see the movie. So keep us informed of any events you may hear of so I can list them, and any reviews. Joe's next project is a movie with William Shockley in Arizona at the end of November.
Joe has a very small part, where he plays a redneck Dallas cop. He said he is going to change
his appearance for the role, getting that really short style haircut and doing other things to have him look and act the part.

GMC IS running a half-hour special today at 1:30 p.m. ET, entitled, "Quinn on Cash," including both Joe Lando and Jane Seymour talking about working with Johnny Cash. There will be some new footage, but you’ve probably also seen parts of this before.
Also, the two Dr. Quinn movies will premiere on GMC in the order filmed, on Oct. 17, at 7pm and 9pm. Prior to the movies, there will be DQMW episodes from 10am to 7pm.
Joe called in tonight after another day of filming "At Home with Prudence." He said he had a wonderful day at the Grand Hotel yesterday. They flew Jane and Joe and other cast members in from Grand Rapids and they were picked up in horse-drawn carriages, that Joe said looked like an old-time hearse, and taken to the hotel. Joe said there are no cars on Mackinac Island. The went on several tours, Joe and another actor walked around the Island, and Joe and Jane signed autographs for fans.
Joe said he is really enjoying working on Prudence and gave me more of the storyline to share. He said that the Prudence show was bought by a company called Media Enterprises, owned by a Donald Trump-like character, named Morton Merchant, played by James Keach. Mr. Merchant sends Jack Jameson (played by Joe Lando) and his son, Michael Merchant, who is a real heel, to take over the show, exploit it by putting a lot of product placement in it, et cetera. Prudence is fighting the changes. Jack Jameson and Prudence reunite after 25 years, when Jack went out one night for cigarettes and wine and never returned, without a word to Prudence in all that time. Jack realizes he had done a lot of things wrong in the past and tries to make amends for it with Prudence. There is further drama with Annie McIntyre, one of the producers of Prudence's show (played by Jane's daughter Katie and who is Prudence's daughter in the movie) and Michael Merchant, who is trying to oust Annie and bring in a "bimbo blonde" he is dating to take her place.
One last item Joe mentioned, that William Shockley (Hank from Dr. Quinn) sold a script he is working on and asked Joe if he would like a part in it. Joe said he would but doesn't know when filming will begin; it has been delayed at this point.

Joe and Jane took a break on Sunday from filming Dear Prudence and went to the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island (where Jane filmed Somewhere in Time) and met with fans. Joe is in Michigan shooting Dear Prudence with Jane. He got there last night. He said that he just finished up his work on Spotlight, and he
said it is "looking good." He
arrived in Michigan Saturday,
and he has a 5 a.m. call tomorrow to shoot a scene with "Katie, Jane's daughter,
who's playing the role of Annie, Jane's daughter" in the movie. Joe went on to say he hopes everyone is enjoying the kickoff of the Sixth Season
of Dr. Quinn, although he hasn't checked it out himself, but he heard the folks at GMC are happy with it. Joe said he would call back during the
week to let us know how things are going with the shoot.
GMC is having a Dr. Quinn Labor Day Marathon Sept 6, starting at 8 am ET, with the pilot episodes and showing pivotal episodes throughout
the day, so any new fans can understand the storyline. At 6 & 7 pm they will show the final 2 episodes of Season 5, ending in the cliffhanger.
They will then premiere Season 6, at 8 pm and show episodes 1-3.
GMC also has a Facebook viewing party hosted by Debbie Kennedy, from 6 to 11 p.m. ET. on Labor Day, with lots of fun activities:

Joe answered questions today for the GMC web site, so keep checking to see what he said. Next week he will be shooting promos for the 6th Season airing for the first time in syndication on the GMC Channel. Check your local listings to see what cable channel it is.
Joe also wanted everyone to know that he, Kirsten, Jack and Christian ran in the annual 4th Of July Race they take part in every year and that Jack did it in 24 seconds, Kirsten in 26 seconds, and that Joe and Christian finished together in 28 seconds.

He said there was a great turnout on Saturday -- not so many people turned out on Sunday for any of the stars -- but the good news for Joe's fans, when he left there today he was on his way to a table read for a new short film that will be shown on the web. It is tentatively titled "Spotlight" and he plays an alcoholic bodyguard who is hired by a famous starlet. His character is busy whipping her into shape and, in the interim, puts his life back together. It should be about a 30-minute film and he said he will get more details for me and I will post them here. Still waiting for fans to send in their pictures from this past weekend to Judy@JoeLando.Org so we can get them up here on the site.
Joe said he enjoyed his Melrose Place character and looks forward to the opportunity of continuing that part if the show is renewed.

Joe Lando appeared last night in the latest episode of Melrose Place, titled, "Santa Fe," Tuesday, March 30. He appeared in a restaurant scene, no diaglogue. He plays the father of Morgan, a girl involved with David, and hopefully we will get a lot more of him next week..

Joe has just filmed an episode of NCIS, the 150th episode, called "Flesh & Blood." Robert Wagner is also appearing in the same episode. He plays Navy Lieutenant Flight Instructor Rob Clark. Joe said it was a small part in a good episode and he appears in the first scene. He says he had a great time with the cast there. He is also appearing in two episodes of Melrose Place,. He is the father of a character named "Morgan," who is involved with "David."

An organization known as the "Dove Foundation" has given a synopsis and review of Joe's movie, "Meteor Apocalypse." from, as their site states, the "manuscript," which I assumes means pre-production." According to Wikipedia, The Dove Foundation is a registered United States non-profit organization based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, known for its activities of rating, reviewing and endorsing films, and for campaigning against the portrayal of sexual activity and violence in Hollywood films (all the things Joe's fans enjoy watching him do).

Just finished talking to Joe. He said, "I don't have a lot to say about the movie." His character works for a water filtration company out of Las Vegas. Cooper Harris is the woman he borrows a jeep from and spends most of the movie with, trying to find his wife, who is played by Claudia Christian. Comets are falling everywhere and a third of the earth is burned. Joe said Madison Mclaughlin is the young actress who plays his daughter.
He finished filming Thursday and said he didn't take any pictures on the set because "they ran me ragged," but he will get me whatever pictures become available. Joe was in every scene for 12 days, had a very long commute, and worked very long hours.

Joe just called me from his trailer on the set, where he is filming "Meteor Apocalypse." He was in between takes. He said he has been working nonstop since he is in just about every scene. Joe said it is a 12-day shoot and his first day off is Friday, he hasn't met the actress he is working with yet, and he will try and have more details for me then. He said he would take pictures so I can put them up on the site. Joe has been busy today "dodging bullets" and was called back to filming and had to go. Joe Lando just informed me that Jane Seymour was informed by Hallmark that there will be no more Prudence movies, which is unfortunate because Joe had received a script for one of them that he would have appeared in with Jane.
Joe also told me that his agent has submitted his name for "Dancing with the Stars," and he is interested in appearing in it. So cross your fingers and start letting everyone know you would like to see him on the show.
Joe has some meetings today and is still awaiting word on some of his auditions.

Update on Joe and Jane's Video Blog.
All did not go as planned. Jane was busy with her "Dear Prudence" stuff, with actors, executive producer, writer, and stuff she was doing for her web site and others. So the segment with Joe was very short and he only got to ask Jane three or four questions that fans sent him to ask Jane. He was not given the opportunity to answer any questions himself. He said there was a little chit-chat and then he asked her three or four questions, but that was it. Also, it was a brand-new camera, James was just getting used to it, and the sound wasn't coming out very well. When Joe left, the video was still in the camera, James was tired, and he wasn't sure when or how I was going to get the video. He is going to call them today to make arrangements. Hopefully we will have it soon.

Days of Our Lives is looking at Joe Lando. He auditioned for a new character, a Mayor called "Paul." Unfortunately, he did not get the role but the Casting Director remembered him from his performance as "Jake" on One Live to Live and on Dr. Quinn and was impressed with him. I have been bursting with this news since January when Joe first told me. Kirsten asked that I not make it public and not put it on the web site or anywhere on the internet, so I've kept quiet. Today I spoke to Joe and he said I can let all his fans know, he and Kirsten had a baby boy on July 20, 2007. His name is William Joseph Lando and he was 8 pounds, 8 ounces. I'm sure everyone is wondering why there have been no updates lately. My area was hit really hard by Hurricane Wilma and I lost my electricity, cable, telephone, and internet. Just last week I got my electric back and this week they finally fixed the internet and cable. My phone is still not ringing but I hope they can fix that soon.
So I'm sorry for the lack of updates but I hope you can all understand.
Joe has been busy and finished filming a movie for Lifetime Network. We will bring you details in the future. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the Holiday Trimmings.

But how will the betrayal affect her relationship with Junior and Junior's friendship with Matt? Joe has been busy this Easter, filming a new movie for the Sci-fi Channel, called "Shock Wave." Not sure if it's one word or two at this point. Joe Plays Major Richard Tunney, a Navy Seal. There are a lot of familiar faces in the movie with him, Michael Dorn from "Enterprise," George Takei from "Star Trek," Hudson Leick, from "Xena," Bill Mumy from "Lost in Space," Alexandra Paul from "Baywatch," Lisa Lo Cicero, ex-"Sonia" from OLTL, and Paul Logan, ex-"Glen Reiber" on "Days of our Lives."
Joe told me the story involves a plane crash with robots aboard that were designed to be the first wave of soldiers in Iraq. This airplane goes down in the Aegean Islands. Through a series of events, the robots are activated and up and running. According to Joe, they will look like the robots in the "Incredibles." His job is to neutralize these robots in 24 hours or the island will be nuked so the "things" don't get off.

Joe is away for the next couple of weeks attending a wedding and visiting family. He will sign the pictures for the people who ordered Season 4 from TJLWP during the promotional period when he returns.
He told me the name of his character in "Bloodsuckers" is Captain Nicholas Churchill. I will be getting pictures and video soon to give everyone a sneak peek.
Joe also has a guest starring role on "Missing," a weekly Lifetime Channel Show, starring Vivica Fox. He appears as an FBI agent named "Tobias Burke." Joe said the role was very interesting and it was an interesting character. I will have more info on it for you soon.

Joe called me yesterday to let me know that he will be participating on October 2, 2004 in an event called the Jayo Invitational Celebrity Pro-Am Volleyball Tournament, if his knees are not bothering him and the doctor gives him the okay. He was asked by his friend to participate and he agreed.
Joe and the family left yesterday for a about a two-week vacation, camping out, and will be out of touch for that period of time. I will have more great news to report when he returns.

Joe has just returned home from filming his next movie, "Bloodsuckers." He says he's never played a role like this before. He begins the movie as a mercenary and ends it as a vampire. Wisely, viewers did not abandon the WB's addictive Summerland for a glimpse of The Player, as the Aaron Spelling drama built from its repeat Gilmore Girls lead-in by a significant 42 percent in the overnights (2.4/ 4 to 3.4/ 5), two million viewers (2.07 to 4.07 million) and 100 percent among adults 18-49 (0.8/ 2 to 1.6/ 5).
Looks like Joe's appearance was good for the show. Catch a repeat of it on Monday, August 9, 2004, at 9 p.m. ET.

Joe's Summerland episode is called "Life in a Fishbowl" and it is Episode 11. It is scheduled to air August 3, 2004. Look for some news about Joe in a future Soap Opera Digest Magazine, with something in the "Grapevine" column and with some quotes about Summerland.

I spoke to Joe yesterday and today. He told me, exclusively, he will be appearing in an episode of "Summerland," on the WB, which is produced by and stars Lori Loughlin. Joe indicated the character is Sullylike, in that something caused him to turn away from the life he led as an architect and he became a drifter, traveling around the world. The character is called "driftwood guy," in the description he read to me, and his name is "Tyler." There is an attraction between him and "Susannah," Lori's character's business partner. He has certain ideals she is attracted to, but she turns away because of his being homeless and gruffy. This is a role that may be recurring if they have good chemistry together. Joe will let me know when the episode should run. Susannah is played by Merrin Dungey, who formerly played "Francie" on "Alias."
He also wanted everyone to know that Anne Marie Loder, Joe's costar in "Higher Ground," had a little baby boy this past April, with her husband Peter DeLuise, and his name is "Jake." Joe will be seeing them today, along with Matthew Hastings, the Creator of "Higher Ground."
Joe mentioned he has a part in a movie that will be shown on the Sci-Fi Channel, called "Blood Suckers." He will get back to me with further information on that.
Other exciting news from Joe is that he told me that he is in talks right now with "General Hospital" and "Young and the Restless," so we may get to see him on our TVs every day.
I will be speaking with Joe right after he films this episode and I hope to have more news for everyone then.

The people at A&E asked me to let all of Joe's fans know that he and Jane will be recording a commentary together tomorrow for the 2-hour "For Better or Worse Episode." This is another great thing we can look forward to in the 3rd Season DVD set by A&E. Joe has also informed me that William has made a deal to offer commentary as well.

I just spoke to Joe and he is still filming his movie, probably will be done at the end of the month.
He told me that the actress who played his wife in "Combustion" is Gabrielle Carteris, from 90210, who is the same age as Joe, and Johnny Pacar played his son. He has a recurring role in "American Dreams." They are both done filming but Joe is not. Michael Gross, who played the father in "Family Ties," is also in the movie.
Joe told me that the fires were nowhere near him or Jane and definitely not anywhere near the Paramount Ranch. He said there was ash but they were never in any danger.

He makes his way to the house of Mr. Hong, his father's former business partner, who Patrick believes killed his father and set him up to take the fall. What he discovers there foils his plan for revenge. Mr. Hong has died. Mr. Hong's son, Dr. Daniel Hong (Chin Han) lives in the house with his blind mother, (Lisa Lu) and unhappy wife Natalie. Natalie was Patrick's love before the murders; Daniel was his friend and fellow medical student.
Amidst the clash of old world Chinese traditions, a cat and mouse game of shifting alliances transpires.
BLINDNESS is the directorial debut of filmmaker Anna Chi, a veteran of the Chinese film industry who immigrated to the United States in 1989. Her personal story and that of her family's during the Cultural Revolution are subjects of screenplays currently in development: The Moving Earth and Forever Red. While establishing her writing and directing career in the U.S. Anna has served as Associate Producer on Chen Kaige's Killing Me Softly and director's assistant on Oliver Stone's Nixon and Wayne Wang's The Joy Luck Club.

I just got off the phone with Joe who informed me that he is beginning work on a new film called "Combustion." His character is called "Scott Harper." He works for the city of Millwood as a fire inspector. He is married in this movie but they are having problems and they have a small child. The wife and the villian, the fire chief, haven't been cast yet. There is a female mayor again, whose life he saves. The past he has is that of a former NASA employee who was there during the Discovery explosion and some weird goings-on at that time. Joe seems excited and promises to keep me informed throughout.
As a personal note, anyone who has been trying to contact me, I'm in the middle of a move and my computer crashed and I haven't had internet access from home, but I will be in touch as soon as I get this problem resolved.

The release of the second season of DQ, on DVD, by A&E is going to be chock-full. Originally they wanted Joe to do a commentary on "The Race," but with some friendly persuasion on my part, they picked a much better vehicle for Joe's unique outlook. According to people at A&E,
"Joe did a fantastic solo audio commentary on "Best Friends" for the Season 2 release. He was funny and quite engaging on it.
He also did a sit-down interview, along with Jane Seymour, Orson Bean, Chad Allen, and Frank Collison."
Further, I gave them a new 200-word biography for Joe,since the one they originally used was not accurate enough and Joe asked them to get a corrected one from me.
This is something we are all looking forward to at TJLWP!!!

I spoke to Joe again last week. He told me he would be appearing on "Soap Talk," an entertainment talk show on Soap Net (a digital cable channel that I do not get). He also told me that he taped his segment the same day that Jane Seymour taped hers and that the producers of the show had called him up and asked him to surprise Jane, so you will be able to see that today on the show that features Jane. The show that Joe taped for his appearance will be shown Wednesday, on Soap Net. Joe also mentioned that the baby was due any minute when he taped the show and he was nervous about that the whole time.
Joe also asked me to let everyone know that Kate is a cutie. She looks a lot like Kirsten, has dark skin, and eyes, dark hair, a lot like Joe's, Joe's mouth, and Kirsten's face and eyes, and has really blue eyes. Kirsten told me this was the easiest birth she ever had, the baby just popped out.
During the conversation, Joe mentioned he was going to Jane's house to check out her studio that she built to film all her commercials, so they did get to show the baby to Jane.
Kirsten informed me today that Brandon, "Andrew" from Dr. Quinn, and his wife Danielle, had a baby girl two weeks after Kate Elizabeth was born. They named her "Isabella." She also wanted everyone to know that Kate Elizabeth is not named for Katie on Dr. Quinn and please don't call her Katie, her name is Kate. They just thought the name Kate was a beautiful name and Elizabeth is Kirsten's middle name. Joe had no idea that "Katie" on Dr. Quinn's middle name was Elizabeth and it is just a coincidence. The correct spelling of Elizabeth is with a Z, not an S, as I was informed originally.

The Joe 2003 Calendar goes on sale today. It is Sully themed this time, since 2003 is the ten-year anniversary of Joe's most beloved character, "Byron Sully," from Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, with two very special bonus pictures that have been seen by very few people and have never appeared on the web.
It has been reported on the Gilbert-Boxleitner Web Site , under "News," that Joe Lando will be starring with Bruce Boxleitner in a movie called "Flood Zone" or "Flash Flood," according to his fan club, which begins filming in September. It was also reported on The Joe Lando Web Page Message Board by an anonymous poster that Bruce will be playing "the bad guy." I am trying to confirm this information right now and I will let everyone know when I do.

I apologize for lack of attention to the website during the last couple of weeks. I was rushed by ambulance to hospital on June 1 and I have not had any computer access since that date (or desire for any). I got home yesterday and hopefully each day will give me more strength and incentive to get back to work on the website, pass on Joe news, and keep everyone updated. I'm sorry I missed news of Jack's birthday and I understand Joe right now is busy moving into his new home and so there's not a lot of news right now anyway. I hope this will be sufficient information for now to explain why the site isn't being maintained in the way it has in previous months/years, but I'm sincerely hoping the setbacks are all temporary.

Joe is now in Australia with Kirsten and Jack to film Attack on the Queen, which starts tomorrow. Most of filming will take place in Brisbane and the Great Barrier Reef area and I think they anticipate it will take approximately 5 weeks to shoot the movie. Kirsten and Jack will have to return to the US before Joe, as airlines won't accept pregnant passengers once they have reached a certain amount of weeks. Once home again, they'll be celebrating Jack's 3rd birthday and then moving into their new house in early June. Joe didn't have time to do the Outer Limits before leaving for Australia but hopes he may be able to fit in an episode when he gets back. The baby is due in early July and, while they don't want to know what sex it is, they both feel they have a pretty good idea of what it's going to be!

Joe is packing up his Vancouver home and moving back down to LA next week. He leaves for Australia on April 20th and will return to the U.S. in May. They had originally hoped to shoot some footage on board the QE2 in Spain but unfortunately there won't be room on board the ship for any filming. I don't know if he's still filming an episode of "The Outer Limits" or not.

Note from the WebMaster: I'm sorry there hasn't been anything in the way of official news of Joe from the DQ movie set or photos on this webpage but I've been sick and I am recently back home after 9 days in hospital. I will do my best to work a little at a time to bring the webpage back to life and and hopefully it won't be too long before things are back to normal. After Joe has finished shooting the Dr. Quinn movie, he's heading to Australia to film a movie for TBS called "Attack on the Queen." It's about terrorists who try to take over the QE2 and he will play a secret service man guarding the president. He will also spend one week in Spain to actually film on board the QE2.

Joe confirmed that the filming of the DQ movie will start on March 12, 2001 in Montreal and will last for about 3 weeks. He has read the script, likes it, and says it sounds "very Quinnish!"

On Monday, Joe is auditioning for a pilot for WB called "Eraser." It's based on the movie of the same name, starring Arnold Schwartzenager. Joe will be attending the premiere of 'Why Are We Here?" - the 2000/2001 multimedia Public Awareness Campaign produced by the Earth Communications Office (ECO). The event, which will be
attended by Hollywood celebrities, scientists, environmentalists and business

Joe said on the interview he did recently on the Donny and Marie show that Hayden Christensen "is going to be big." He was right - rumor has it that Hayden (Scott) is being considered for the part of Anakin Skywalker

Fox Family Network have comfirmed that starting in January, they will be airing Higher Ground twice a week on Friday nights, at 9:00 p.m. ET and on Wednesday nights, at 10:00 p.m. ET . It sounds like Joe got that later time slot he wanted so that we can see ROMANCE!
In the mean time, it's bad news for Canadians. WIC have confirmed that they have postponed airing Higher Ground until September 2000.
There are some wonderful pictures of Joe, Kirsten, and Jack in the November 25th edition of Hola magazine.
Rumor has it that Beth Sullivan is currently writing a script for another DQ movie which fans are hoping will be filmed in time for the May sweeps.

Joe started filming his new series Cliffhangers on July 19th. There have already been some visitors to the set who reported watching Joe film a scene. Apparently, there is a rule that visitors are not allowed to take photos on the set. Also, I heard from Jana (who worked with Joe on DQ and is a friend of the family) that Joe's series is going really well, he's enjoying it, and they love Canada!

Hi everybody, how are you? It's very exciting to be here today and I consider it an honor to be part of this day along with Jane, her family, her friends, all of you, an honor just like it was for the past six years to play Jane's husband on a television series that we felt was something more than just another t.v. show, something that was special, and, like Dr. Michaela Quinn, feel that Jane Seymour is a pioneer. She opened up the frontier of night time television on Saturday nights and made it a place for good time quality television and my hat goes off to her for that. She's a fine actress; someone who over the years has carved out a career varied in all kinds of different kinds of performances. She's done a wonderful job. She's made t.v. a safe place for young families to bring their kids and watch stories which they can share and talk about later. Stories with messages behind them like love, compassion, and doing the right thing even when it isn't the easiest thing to do, and she's also been a hell of an actress. So I'm very proud to be here and I speak on behalf of the rest of the cast and crew when I say I'm very proud to be part of the adventure of Dr. Quinn and to honor this fine actress here today, and I'm sure you'll win many more awards in the future.

The six year-long CBS series (1992 to 1998) about one of the first female
doctors to practice on the American frontier, returns in this new television
movie in which the Colorado Springs townspeople help Dr. Mike (Seymour) and
her loving husband, Sully (Lando), search for their kidnapped daughter,
Katie. All starts well, as Sully plans Dr. Mike's surprise birthday party.
But then Sully, the town's commissioner, and his town board hear a plea from
a Mr. Garrick, a copper mining company representative requesting permission
to mine for copper. But Sully, fearing the copper will poison the town's
water supply, persuades his fellow commissioners to reject the proposal. Mr.
Garrick warns Sully that this decision may result in dire consequences. And
sure enough, at Dr. Mike's party, she and Sully learn of little Katie's
kidnapping. Their search for her takes them as far as Mexico, where they
find themselves in trouble with a corrupt legal system and in a fight for
their lives.

Filming got underway today. Both Joe and Jane were there, both in great moods, interacting with fans, posing for pictures and signing autographs. The weather was cold and rainy but that didn't seem to dampen anyone's spirits. Everyone seems to agree that Joe's wig looks just fine!

Joe will be filming the DQ movie from March 15 to approximately April 10. The filming is scheduled to take place at the old DQ set at the Paramount Ranch for the first week and for a couple of days into the second week. After that, other locations will be used in the area.
