Caroline A., Twitter Question from Edinburgh
What are you doing professionally just now? Any new TV or movies? Why no more Bay? Need to see more of your great work please.

JOE LANDO: Still auditioning, worked on two short films in the past year. SPOTLIGHT, we're still waiting for it to go out, along with END OF THE INNOCENTS, and then THRIFT STORE COWBOY. I've decided not to participate, for personal reasons, in The Bay, but would hope everyone continues to support Gregori Martin and The Bay and I wish them the best of luck.

Hello Joe. Am enjoying the Dr. Quinn series on INSP Channel 101 and GMC 189.
Would like to ask you, is parenting today more difficult than when you were growing up?

JOE LANDO: Hard to say. I wasn't a parent when I was growing up but I think being a parent is pretty much the same job as it always was; good guidance and letting them be themselves at the same time. I think there are some unique challenges now due to technology.

OK- so I was 13 when Dr. Quinn first came out and I will fully admit that I was in love with Sully!! I have recently, at 32, been watching the show again and realized that I still am:) ha ha!! Looking at the show through the eyes of a grown woman, married with a beautiful 3 year old daughter, I now realize how ahead of its time the show was. The topics covered were so relevant to what the world is facing now. I would imagine at the time that the show was airing you had a lot of fan mail and female groupies, so how on earth did you find one person that you felt you could spend your life with?? And does she prefer your hair long or short!

JOE LANDO: I think it was a great show also. My children watch it now and enjoy it and can't believe that's daddy. When I first met my wife, my hair was short and she watched me go through every hairstyle, including what I have now, which is what I call touch of grey. It was easy finding the right person for me to spend my life with because I was just lucky, I guess, and I looked really hard for a long time. Kirsten doesn't care what my hair looks like.

What do you personally think about the Native Americans? I have seen Medicine Woman many times, and I liked your friendship with Cloud Dancing and the Cheyenne. The Indian people have been hurt so long, so deep.

JOE LANDO: Because of DQ, I was exposed to Native American culture in a way I think I normally wouldn't have been and enjoyed that involvement. It created a lot of empathy and I feel they suffered a long time, not unlike many indigenous cultures.

    Kerry B., Australia
Hi Joe, I have been a fan of yours for many years. Have you ever been for a visit to Australia? Also, are you on Facebook?

JOE LANDO: No, I'm not on Facebook and yes, I've been to Australia, I worked on a film named COUNTERSTRIKE and we loved the time we spent there. We especially enjoyed Noosa. Fair dinkim!

    Jill K., Oklahoma
Hi, Joe. How involved are you with the production of END OF THE INNOCENTS?

JOE LANDO: I'm not involved in the production. I just lent my help in doing a little bit of acting in it. It is Deborah Chesher's project.

    Sylvia, Sedona, Arizona

Good luck on your project End of Innocence.
I was wondering, we have made lots of email efforts to get the schedule for Perfectly Prudence, You and Jane had stated that if we wanted to see the flick, that we should write/call/email Hallmark, and lots of us have done so, but in vain. The movie has not aired since late May 2011!! Would really like to see Perfectly Prudence, and why has Hallmark not aired it again? We have written countless emails requesting a schedule for PP and so far have heard nothing!!! We, your fans would really like to see the movie. What should we do??? Thanks, good luck on all your projects.

JOE LANDO: I'm sorry you haven't been able to get a schedule. I have had no involvement with Hallmark, except for the project last year.

    Sue F., England

Hi, Mr. Lando. Could you tell me what projects you are working on and if you will be teaming up with Jane Seymour in the future on another Dr Quinn film? With your on-screen chemistry, it would be fantastic.

JOE LANDO: Hi, Sue, how do you do? Jane and I have nothing in the works as of right now. I'm currently out there looking for more work like everybody else.

    Libbie, New Jersey

Do you know if and/or when the Higher Ground TV series may be coming out on DVD? I realize it didn't last long, but it was really good.

JOE LANDO: No, I've had no word about that. I would like to get a copy of it myself.

    Gemma C., UK East Yorkshire

Hello Joe, I am a fan of yours, have been since I saw you on TV when Dr Quinn was aired over in the UK. I loved Dr Quinn series so much I grew up watching it. Do you think that another movie/series will be made ever or has it run its course with regards to the story lines? I hope not, it would be great to see it back on the TV. Hope this message finds you well. Many kind thanks.

JOE LANDO: I don't think that the DQ storyline has run its course. I think there is still room for television movies of the week. People always love westerns and it did take place during a period of time in our history where there was so much going on that I think there are still several stories we could tell. Wouldn't it be interesting seeing us all now, 20 years later.

    Megan P., Mitcham Surrey, England
Dr Quinn is my all time favourite programme. I watch it all the time, having obtained the full set of DVDs. My question is: Would you ever consider taking part in "Dancing with the Stars"? I see that Jane entered and I thought she was excellent.

JOE LANDO: Thank you very much, Megan. I would seriously like to do Dancing with the Stars now and I would look at it as a personal competition. Now that Jane has been on it, I would have to last at least two weeks, otherwise I'd never hear the end of it from you know who… ha! ha!

    Kathryn J., Flint, MI

Are you willing to do another movie with Katie and Jane again? If you are, what would you like the theme be about? Western or like the world today?

Do you miss being on the set of "Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman"? In my opinion I thought you were great in that series. But also do you think that you were mainly close to Shawn and little Katie in the show?

JOE LANDO: Yes, I would welcome working with Jane and her daughter again and it wouldn't matter if it were contemporary or not. I do miss the DQ set, it was a great place to work, and I would love to have seen my kids on the set there. I think they would have enjoyed it also.

    Sarah M., Belgium

    Hello Mr. Lando,
I just saw "Perfectly Prudence" this afternoon on You Tube (it's the only way to see it in this part of the world, I guess) and I just wanted to say that I had a really good time and that I loved the movie. It is the perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon (even if you're watching it from behind a desk :-) I realise that this is hardly the place to put this comment (since it is not a question) but it's the only way I could think of.

In fact, I do have a question: Would you be so kind as to forward my congratulations to the rest of the cast- and crewmembers of "Perfectly Prudence"? You all did a very good job!
thank you very much and keep up the good work :-)

JOE LANDO: Thank you very much, Sarah, I'm glad you enjoyed Prudence, but I'm sorry you had to watch it over YouTube. Possibly, in the future, Hallmark will release it on DVD, but I’m not making any promises.

    Jan B., Florida
Hi Joe. Jane Seymour has said that you are her closest friend. Is she your best friend as well?

JOE LANDO: First my wife and then my TV wife.

    Josephine, Bulgaria
Joe, you have a wonderful smile, so I was wondering are you ticklish and, if so, where are your tickly spots? :)

JOE LANDO: I have to thank you for the comment and thank my dentist for my smile. He had to fix it many times. After doing the stunts on Dr. Quinn, I had a lot of chipped teeth. I looked kind of like a hockey player. Also, I can't say where my ticklish spots are because my kids have been looking for them for years.

    Jane S., Goshen, CT
You mentioned that you got tired of something, a few years down the road, when you were working on the Dr. Quinn series. What bothered you?
I love the Dr. Quinn series. Thanks for being part of it!

JOE LANDO: I don't think I would have ever said I got tired of working; I love working. Maybe I was tired that day.

    Rebecca, G., NC
Hi Joe, how long did it take you to learn to ride bareback? Your riding on Dr. Quinn is impressive! Also, do you believe in God and Jesus Christ Thanks for your time!

JOE LANDO: It took me several painful months to ride bareback and it was mostly the horse that made me look good. And, yes, I believe in God.

    Edward G., Phoenix, Arizona

My sweetheart Robyn and I have taken it upon ourselves to watch the entire Dr. Quinn series with our 13 yr old. He is the youngest of 6 children between us. (blended family)We have found common ground in the series and look forward to the "family time." As we watch each episode I can't help wondering two things: 1. Did Wolf live with you as your dog? He seems very attentive and loyal and 2. What ever happened to Wolf? This is kind of like a "Where are they now" for Wolf. Thank you and I wish you continued success.

JOE LANDO: Cody was the name of the Wolf. His first acting job was in a movie called LOST BOYS with Kiefer Sutherland and he was a model for Revo Sunglasses. Although we loved each other dearly, he did not live with me. He lived with his trainer, Dennis Grisco. Sadly, Cody died in our fourth year and I was not as close with the second dog as I was with Cody.

That's all I have time for now. Speak to you again soon!
